HEAT
DEFLECTION TEMPERATURE
Heat Deflection Temperature, also
referred to as DTUL (Deflection Temperature Under Load), can be tested at any
of the conditions called out in ASTM D648. This is a useful test for verifying
a supplier’s stated DTUL, comparing materials when DTUL values are not available,
or for helping to identify an unknown material.
